To simply call it a family “atmosphere” would be a gross understatement. Involvement through youth soccer coaching, PTSF volunteering, and more has allowed us to develop friendships with other families. These relationships started by simply being available and having the mutual desire to see our children raised in a Christian environment. Youth soccer provided the first real team environment for all 4 of our kids and has been a great confidence booster. They have followed their desire to improve and serve their teams into high school. Speech meets, spelling bee competitions and school plays have been watermark events where we’ve seen our kids be challenged to excel.
Calvary allows my family to have an alternative to a public education that is challenging and academically sound. Life lessons are being taught that are based on values I embrace. These lessons support rather than challenge my Biblical worldview. Opportunities are available to succeed if you and your child are willing to have a heart of service. By starting with the concept of aligned ideals and values, you skip the step of wondering what and who is influencing your greatest contribution to society… your children. Calvary staff, volunteers, and coaches love what they are doing and understand their unique place in our society to instill conservative values.

We are grateful to have our kids attend Calvary. We specifically appreciate the Christ-centered education, small class sizes, and the passion and enthusiasm of the teachers and administrators. As our kids work their way through middle school and high school, it is interesting to see how faith-focused education helps them through what are otherwise challenging years, in terms of developing self-identity and natural conflicts of that age. To have faith reinforced through their education is incredibly helpful as a parent as they develop that self-identity.
We love the small classes and Christ-focused curriculum. It is important that our kids have a high-quality education and experience that faith and their work (school now and career later) are not different buckets, but can and should be integrated. Calvary has a lot of momentum as a school. It is growing in enrollment and expanding facilities and capabilities to make the education experience even better than it currently is. It is a fun time to be part of the ecosystem, and we are very happy with the education our kids are receiving.

We love that the boys' learning revolves around the LORD. We love that the staff leads with Love, all of them! When people say “It takes a village!” CCS is just that! The village that you never knew you needed! Every teacher proves to our kids and us, that the boys are capable of so much more than we ever knew! They have gr...

The village that you never knew you needed! Every teacher proves to our kids and us, that the boys are capable of so much more than we ever knew! They have grown into smart, confident, caring, and God-loving little people! We know that we are not solely responsible for this growth! Every staff member and peer has contributed to this! We are so thankful to Calvary! Because we know that we cannot prepare them for this world alone! We need people like our Calvary staff to teach them and us to be the people God created them to be. We wouldn’t choose anywhere else! CCS feels like family! We know that we can reach out to teachers and administration at any point, and we are heard! Every family matters! We are here to Glorify God!

Former Head of School, John Taylor, contacted me while I was a student at Cedarville and looking for a teaching position. The opportunity to have a biblical worldview as the foundation of the educational process is the key and Calvary was clear about that goal. To be able to educate the whole child and play a role in building this community has been special!
Working with like-minded staff members and families creates a special environment where kids can thrive. I've loved the opportunity to build really close relationships with people while working on ways to improve our programming and now the spaces where all those things happen. I have a lot of great memories from the classroom, my time coaching, and now the process of working with our leadership team!
A biblical worldview has to be the foundation of education, and we're blessed to have the opportunity to make it so at Calvary. If we believe we were created by God and to walk with Him in this life, then we must be able to teach more than academic lessons. Those lessons must connect to biblical truth, and they must shape our beliefs of the world around us.
Any follower of Christ that is authentic in their walk will thrive in the Christ-centered culture that's been built at Calvary.

I met Mr. Hyde when I was attending Cedarville. After my interview, God made it very clear to me that He wanted me to teach at Calvary. I had planned on teaching at a public school back home in Akron, but God had other plans for me. So I stepped out in faith and obeyed, and I am so thankful I listened to God!!!I love the communi...

I love the community at Calvary and that we get to share the gospel with every single student that walks in our doors! The mission and vision of Calvary is something that you don't see much in the world we live in, and I love that we get to be a light to Logan County! While I am not teaching anymore, the teachers here are what makes Calvary so amazing. The daily impact that they have on the students and teaching them a Biblical Worldview is just incredible! It is a ministry unlike anything else!!! We are not perfect, and we will never claim to be, but we seek to faithfully serve a perfect God together as a family.

We chose Calvary Christian School because we wanted our boys to grow up in a Christ-centered atmosphere that touches every aspect of their lives. From the very beginning, we’ve loved everything about Calvary. The teachers, the emphasis on prayer, the openness, the chapel services, and even the affordability align perfectly with our family’s values. It’s a place where home, school, and church life work together seamlessly, enhancing our children’s spiritual journey.
Calvary is best described as *consistent*. Christian values are woven into everything the school is, does, and stands for. This consistency has been transformational for our children. We've seen them grow more outspoken in their faith and free from criticism, and their biblical knowledge is truly outstanding.
For us, attending a Christian school is vital because we believe that education plus God equals success. Calvary is equipping our boys with the tools they need to be successful in both college and life.
If you’re considering enrolling your child at Calvary Christian School, I can confidently say it’s the best decision you can make for your child’s future. It impacts every aspect of their lives in the most positive ways. And don’t let cost deter you—this is an investment in their life and faith that you won’t regret.

While visiting from Pennsylvania, I saw a flier at Grace Chapel. We were relocating to this area and CCS reminded me very much of the school I attended, K-12, and later taught at in Maryland. I believe God clearly led me to CCS. I love the family atmosphere and having the opportunity to help young people grow in their walk with the Lord. I love interacting with the students outside of class through drama and mission trips. My favorite memory so far was the last night of the 2024 Costa Rica trip. Hearing high school students share from their hearts what God taught them that week was amazing.
Teaching at a Christian school is important to me because I believe in the importance of partnering with parents who desire to raise their children to serve God. I wholeheartedly encourage anyone who is looking to work at Calvary to apply.

The teachers are more like family than teachers. Ready to pray for you at a moment's notice. They treat the children like they are their own and I appreciate that. The teachers are more like family than teachers. Ready to pray for you at a moment's notice. They treat the children like they are their own and I appreciate that. My sons have developed a love for music and actually started writing their own Christian songs. I appreciate the importance of a good structure and a good fundamental education. By giving them the keys to figure out what they want to become and helping them grow in whatever that might be. The teachers have been such a blessing to my family. Give them a chance, especially if you want that Christian-based education for your child.
