Drama Club
Drama club is open to students in 9th-12th grade. The drama club works on one production each year, usually in the spring. After auditions, roles are assigned, and scripts are distributed. Typically, rehearsals take place 1-2 hours after school several times a week for 8-12 weeks. Our goal is to produce a musical every 3-4 years.
In addition to performing on stage, there are opportunities to help with the technical aspects of a production including lighting, sound, stage crew, and hair and makeup. The Calvary drama club has opportunities for students to be involved in many ways if they are interested.
Jazz Band
The Calvary Christian School Jazz Band consists of those students who go above and beyond their musical journey in the Concert Band and seek to understand and learn the jazz music style. The group performs at the 7-12 Christmas Concert, the 7-12 Spring Concert, and the annual Music in the Parks Benefits Dinner (also known as the Jazz Dinner event).
The students participating in Jazz Band learn to hone their musical abilities for the glory of God in a different music style, and worship him through practice and performance.
Miler's Club
Calvary Christian Miler's Club—a fun, faith-filled way for our younger students and families to embrace health and fitness together! Each spring, we gather after school at McKinley Fields (just behind our school) to run, laugh, and celebrate as a community. Our Miler's Club invites students to build healthy habits through regular exercise, with goals, awards, and a special club t-shirt to mark their progress. And because we know a little encouragement goes a long way, there’s often a small treat waiting after each session! The annual registration fee is affordable, typically between $15-$25, making it easy for everyone to join.
National Honors Society (NHS)
The Calvary Christian Chapter of the National Honors Society performs the same role as our counterparts across the nation as we recognize our students for their scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Junior and Senior students who meet the rigorous standards required for entrance are inducted during an annual ceremony. Students engage in monthly meetings, participate in at least two service projects each year, devote at least 1 class period each week to mentoring or tutoring students at CCS, and enjoy NHS fun nights and a spring banquet.
Youth Leadership Association (YLA)
YLA is a student service organization that includes yearly retreats to Camp Horseshoe and Youth in Government (YG) weekend. During YG, students from across the state take over our capitol building to see firsthand how our judicial, executive, and legislative bodies function.

Student Worship Band
Student Worship Band, also known as Chapel Band, is overseen by Calvary ASB (Associated Student Body). The Worship Directors, Senior Kari Gantz and Junior Megan Palmer, oversee music every Friday at chapel. Any and all students are welcome to sign up to be a part of the worship band at the start of the year and the start of the second semester. We welcome students who want to use their God-given talents to bless the student body, faculty, and staff and allow us to grow closer as the Body of Christ!
If you play an instrument and/or sing, we would love to have you sign up! Sign-ups can be found posted on the Student Information Board or you can talk directly to the ASB Worship Directors or ASB Advisor.

Key Club
Key Club is a 100-year-old international organization sponsored by the Kiwanis to promote community service and student leadership. Our Key Club visits Green Hills Retirement Village several times a year. We also sponsor a school-wide food drive in February to benefit Our Daily Bread food pantry. Some of our other activities include Parents' Night Out (free babysitting), Pastors' Appreciation Breakfast, Teachers' Giving Tree, Hats/Gloves/Scarves Tree, and Cards for Veterans. We also promote Kingdom Investment International through which each class sponsors a child in Burkina Faso, and we hold hot chocolate sales to help with the support of these children.
The CCS Key Club is open to students in grades 9-12.
ASB (Associated Student Body)
ASB encourages students to get involved in planning student-led activities and promotes students learning how to lead. Planning dances, spirit weeks, lunchtime activities, pep rallies, and more, students are able to reach out to the student body to get kids involved, have ideas, and see those ideas become reality!
