The Playground is Coming!

A Playground is Coming!

On April 18, 1775 Paul Revere & William Dawes rode throughout the New England countryside giving warnings of British military plans which they believed would result in colonial weapons destruction and the arrest of influential leaders. They didn’t have app notifications in 1775 so they had to warn people individually and by lighting 1 candle if the attack was coming by land or 2 candles if they were coming by sea. Paul Revere’s midnight ride turned him into a colonial hero and we believe if he were still with us today, he’d be riding through Bellefontaine, Rushsylvania, Belle Center, North Lewisburg, West Liberty, and Russell’s Point letting our families know that a playground is coming!

We’ve recently purchased several pieces of playground equipment from Riverside schools including a large playset, monkey bar and balance set, basketball hoops, and several swing sets. These will pair with another set we received from Noah’s Ark to build an amazing playground area at our new campus. We think this is going to be an amazing area for our students to enjoy!

This area will be safely tucked behind our buildings and will have a surrounding fence to keep students away from traffic on the back side. We see a lovely patio area with some seating and tables, different playground sets, and a place to play basketball or 4 square.

We believe some playground components will have to be phased in to match with construction timelines (for example- any asphalt would be poured at the same time the driveway is getting done) but we anticipate this space being able to be used starting this fall 2023. If Paul Revere were still with us today, he’d be letting everyone know A PLAYGROUND IS COMING! (or he’d just send some texts).
