School Activities & Awards
I am involved in Key Club and am the Key Club secretary this year. I am in NHS. I've been on the Calvary Girls Basketball Team and helped lead two basketball camps for middle school girls over the summer. I've played all 4 years of Varsity basketball and am a captain of the Varsity team this year. I've been on the Chapel worship team for two years. I am also involved in FCA and am the Secretary of the Senior Class Council.

Favorite School Memory
One of my favorite school memories is from the end of my freshman year of basketball. We had a basketball party and after our coach at the time, Lee
Reinhard, announced everyone and gave out all the awards, we managed to convince him to freestyle rap for us. They played music for it and gave him a microphone and somewhere there is still a video of Lee Reinhard freestyle rapping about our amazing basketball season.

What is something you’re passionate about?
I love reading and I've been self-teaching myself how to do hair and nails. I also taught myself how to crochet and love making hats and blankets when I can.

People who have been an inspiration to you
My main inspiration is my mom. She does so much and takes care of me and my seven younger siblings. She always works so hard to stay ahead of the chaos. She has taught me so much and I am so thankful to have her in my life.

Bible verse that has had a strong impact on you
One verse that has had a big impact on me is Psalm 139:14, "I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, I know this very well." It's always reminded me that no matter what I'm still made in God's image, and I am still wonderfully made.

Most impactful high school activity
Basketball has definitely helped me learn to have patience and to work hard even when you don't get the outcome you want. It's helped me grow in my abilities and to help others improve through my experiences.

Current Plans for after you graduate
I am planning to take a gap year after high school before continuing my education at Apollo Career Center for cosmetology.

In what way has your time at Calvary Christian School helped shape your worldview?
Calvary has helped me learn how to see the world through Christian lenses. I've learned how to talk to and deal with situations where someone is exhibiting a different worldview. I've learned so much about how to also help others learn more about the Bible and how to also see things from a Biblical standpoint.

Any advice for students entering high school?
Be awkward. Talk to people even if you don't know them. You'll have so much more fun if you just open up and talk to people, even if you feel awkward. It's worth it!
