The Calvary Way: A shared commitment to Christ centered conversations
The Calvary Way is how we choose to live out Scripture together in everyday life at Calvary Christian School. It is not a doctrine that replaces the Bible. It is a shared commitment to apply biblical truth to our relationships, our communication, and even the hardest conversations, so that growth and discipleship can happen with grace.
Scripture first, always
God’s Word is our authority. The Calvary Way is simply a practical way to season our conversations with Scripture so that truth and grace stay together.
“Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.”
Colossians 4:6 ESV
“The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits.”
James 3:17 ESV

This is for our whole community.
The Calvary Way applies to everyone who is a part of Calvary Christian School:
- Administrators
- Teachers
- Staff
- Parents
- Students
- Families
We believe a healthy Christian school culture is built when we share the same expectations for how we speak, listen, and work through differences with humility and respect.
“Bear with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.”
Colossians 3:13 ESV
Grace over perfection
We do not expect perfection from our families. We are human, and we all have moments where we need to slow down, listen again, and try again. The Calvary Way is not a measuring stick to point fingers. It is a pathway back to unity, wisdom, and growth when things feel difficult.
“For the Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.”
Psalm 103:8 ESV
Why are we sharing this now?
We are not addressing a current issue. We are thankful for the trust and unity in our community. But as our school grows, our Calvary Christian family community, including staff, students, parents, and extended family, represents around 2,200 people. With that many relationships, there will always be opportunities for misunderstanding. The Calvary Way helps us be proactive in protecting unity before conflict grows.
“Be eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
Ephesians 4:3 ESV

An invitation and a promise

This is a shared commitment, and one we personally strive to live out. If you ever feel we fall short, we invite you to hold us accountable.
“So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.”
Romans 14:19 ESV
