Marysville Ohio Families, Here Is What I Want You to Know

February 05, 2026
By Ben Moore

If you live in the Marysville area, I know you are juggling a lot. Work schedules, practices, church, family time, and the constant desire to raise kids who are confident, kind, and grounded in truth.

That is why I love having conversations with families who are exploring Calvary Christian School. I am not here to pressure you. I am here to help you find the right fit for your child and make the process clear.

Calvary Christian School is located at 1673 County Road 9, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311. Many Marysville families find the drive is about 30 minutes, which makes Calvary a realistic option even with a busy schedule. And if transportation is the piece that feels hard, I want you to know we have transportation options that can help.

If the first thing you are thinking is, “This sounds great, but how would we get there every day?” You are not alone. That is one of the most common questions I get from Marysville families. We have transportation options available. In some situations, students whose school building is within 30 minutes of Calvary, may be eligible for transportation through their home public school district. Calvary also offers a Marysville transportation option where students are picked up and dropped off daily at The Well Church of the Nazarene, 1126 North Maple Street, Marysville, Ohio 43040, for a small annual fee.

The best next step is for you to take a look at the current transportation information, and then reach out. I will help you talk through what is realistic for your family and what a normal week could look like.

Why Marysville families choose Calvary Christian School

When Marysville parents reach out to me, the question underneath the questions is usually this.

  • Who is helping shape my child when I am not in the room?

I can explain our mission, but honestly, most families feel the difference when they walk into the building. Families often tell me they notice that students are known and cared for, and that our adults lead with conviction and warmth. That matters, because you are not just choosing classes. You are choosing who your child will be around every day. My goal is for you to feel confident that we will partner with you, communicate clearly, and support your child well.

A Biblical worldview that is more than a class

One thing I often hear from parents is that they want faith to be consistent and real, not something added on when it is convenient. At Calvary Christian School, a Biblical worldview is the foundation. It shapes how we approach learning, character, and decision-making. We want students to learn how to think clearly, live wisely, and stand on truth with humility and courage.

Portrait of a Graduate clarity

I believe parents desire and deserve a clear answer to this question.

  • What kind of person will my child become?

Our Portrait of a Graduate helps keep the goal front and center. We are intentionally developing students who are prepared academically, grounded spiritually, and ready to lead with integrity in whatever God calls them to next.

Marysville FAQ

Yes, it can be. Many families make it work because the drive is manageable and transportation options are available. If you tell me your general area and schedule, I can help you think it through.
  • What is the first step if we are just exploring?
Start by submitting an inquiry. That is the easiest way to get information, ask questions, and understand next steps without pressure.

  • Can we visit before we apply?
Absolutely. I would actually encourage it. A family visit helps you see the culture, meet our team, and picture your child here.
